Break Free Without the Labels or the Lectures

A personalized recovery coaching program designed to meet you where you are, build on your strengths, and help you create a life you’re proud of—your way.

In the video above, I shared how this program is different from anything you’ve tried before. It’s not about labels or judgment—it’s about helping you break free from the patterns holding you back and creating a life you’re proud of. Here’s how we do it…

You’ve been holding it all together— trying to pretend everything is fine.

Maybe, on the outside, things look okay. But inside? It’s a different story. You’re exhausted from the constant balancing act, the mental gymnastics of keeping everything under control. You’ve tried to convince yourself it’s not that bad, but deep down, you know something has to change. The stress, the guilt, the feeling that you’re not fully present in your own life—it’s wearing you down.

Now, imagine this instead: waking up each day with clarity and peace of mind. No more hiding, no more second-guessing yourself. You’re in control—not just of your habits, but of your time, your energy, and your future. You feel lighter, freer, and more confident because you’ve broken free from the patterns that were holding you back.

Your relationships are thriving because you’re showing up as your best self—fully present, fully engaged, and able to communicate in ways that build trust and connection. You’re pursuing goals that actually excite you, with the focus and energy to make them happen. And most importantly, you’ve rediscovered what it feels like to truly live—to feel joy, purpose, and hope for the future.

As you progress, you’ll cultivate an unshakeable self-confidence that comes from within. Each step you take is a testament to your strength, allowing you to believe in yourself and face life’s challenges with resilience.

You’ll find opportunities to reconnect with loved ones in deeper, more meaningful ways. New skills in healthy communication will help you express your feelings and needs, fostering trust and understanding in your relationships.

Overcoming addiction means rediscovering what truly inspires you. With a clear mind and focused energy, you can set and achieve meaningful goals—whether they are personal, professional, or creative. Imagine pursuing your passions with renewed vigor, turning dreams into reality.

Most importantly, this journey brings hope—a belief in a vibrant, joyful future. You cultivate resilience, equipping you with the tools to face life’s challenges and see obstacles as opportunities for growth.

Joining our Strengths-based Recovery Program is more than just addressing addictive patterns, it’s about unlocking the true potential that lies within you. You deserve a life filled with hope and positivity, where each day is an opportunity to thrive.

Are you ready to stop just managing and start thriving? Let’s take that first step together.

Client testimonal

"Amber’s Strengths-Based Coaching program was a game-changer for me. Her approach is unlike anything I’ve experienced before—it’s all about understanding your unique strengths and using them to create a positive, forward-focused path. Instead of dwelling on past failures or feeling condemned, I was encouraged to reframe my mindset. I went from thinking, ‘I can’t be happy unless I drink,’ to realizing, ‘I’ll truly be happier by not drinking.’ It was such a freeing shift.

What surprised me most was how positive and uplifting the process was. There was no judgment, just genuine support and guidance. Amber helped me see that the very strengths I have—ones I’d let trap me in a cycle of alcoholism—could be recalibrated to align with my values and help me move forward. It was like re-laying the foundation of my life, but this time, it was solid and aligned with who I want to be.

If you’re considering this program, my advice is simple: just do it. Don’t overthink it. Be open and honest, and you’ll be amazed at what you discover about yourself. Honestly, it’s worth every penny—and I’d have paid more for the transformation I’ve experienced!"

After 20+ years of helping individuals break free from addiction, here’s what I know to be true:

You don’t need someone else to shame you, guilt you, or force you into doing things you don’t want to do.

If you’ve been struggling with an addictive cycle, chances are you already feel like you’re not enough. And let’s be real—plenty of people have probably tried to “fix” you or push you into their version of recovery.

Here’s the problem:
Most addiction counselors see their job as getting you to stop your behavior at all costs. Their success is tied to your sobriety, and that pressure? It trickles down to you.

But I see things differently.

I don’t believe addiction is inherently “bad.” Our brains are wired to fixate on things—that’s how we fall in love, care for our families, build businesses, and create incredible things.

The issue isn’t that you’re “too addicted.” The issue is where that energy is being directed.

Some addictions can bring joy, purpose, and fulfillment. Others? They leave you feeling trapped, ashamed, and disconnected from the people you care about most.

The goal isn’t to erase your addictive nature or become some perfectly “balanced” person.

That’s not realistic—and honestly, it’s not necessary.

The real key is learning how to channel your addictive energy into something that builds you up instead of tearing you down. When you do that, you’ll feel proud of yourself—confident, capable, and in control.

That’s where I come in.

My goal isn’t to force you into a box or make you feel bad about where you are right now. My goal is to help you harness your unique strengths and use them to create a life you’re excited to wake up to.

Together, we’ll figure out how to break free from the patterns that are holding you back and redirect your energy toward something meaningful—something that makes you feel alive again.

Because you don’t need to be “fixed.”

You just need a new direction.

Recovery shouldn't feel like a punishment.

Have you had bad experiences with “getting help” in the past?

That’s probably because people have tried to “help” you by convincing you that you’re bad or broken—and that the only way to get better is to follow their specific program.

Here’s the problem with that approach:
It’s not only ineffective—it’s counterproductive.

Let me explain:

  • Harmful addictions can lead to self-sabotage and hurt the people around you.
  • But positive addictions? They can drive you to do incredible things—like build a business, create art, or strengthen relationships.

The issue isn’t addiction itself. It’s where that energy is being directed.

And here’s the kicker:
Trying to force someone to change only triggers their instinct to maintain control. That’s why people cling to counterproductive behaviors and beliefs—even when they know those behaviors are hurting them.

Making someone feel bad about themselves? That just pushes them further into self-medication.

And let’s be real:
There’s no one-size-fits-all addiction treatment program that will magically “fix” you. Deep down, you already know what you need to do to break the cycle. It’s just a matter of making the decision and staying motivated to follow through.

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m not on board with most contemporary philosophies about addiction treatment.

Here’s what I DON’T believe:

  • I don’t believe you’re powerless.
  • I don’t think you need to hit rock bottom to make a change.
  • I don’t believe everyone has to work a 12-step program.
  • I don’t believe all addiction stems from trauma.
  • I don’t even believe you have to go to treatment to get better.

Here’s what I DO believe:

  • Negative addictions stand in the way of positive addictions.
  • People naturally have the motivation to break harmful addictions—you already know how to do it.
  • Addiction is a natural state for human beings. It can work for you or against you.
  • Recovery works best when your family knows how to encourage and support you.
  • The best way to overcome negative addictions is to redirect your obsessive tendencies toward something meaningful.

"My mother first introduced me to Amber’s YouTube videos, and her words immediately resonated with me. Unlike other programs or counselors I’ve encountered—where I felt resistance or a sense of being controlled—Amber’s approach was completely different.

It felt genuine, empowering, and aligned with my beliefs. She doesn’t just talk at you, she engages in authentic conversations and provides practical, effective strategies that actually work.

If you’re looking for real guidance and support to take the right steps toward the life you want, I can’t recommend this program enough. It’s been a game-changer for me."

  • 12-Week Program: Commit to a comprehensive, transformative journey with our 12-week option. This program provides ample time for introspection, skill refinement, and the opportunity to fully embrace your evolving identity. You’ll leave with a solid foundation for sustainable recovery and the tools to navigate life’s complexities.

Personalized and Flexible Journey

We understand that recovery is not a one-size-fits-all process. While we provide structured phases and goals to guide your journey, each person’s experience is unique. We remain committed to adapting our approach to meet your individual needs and preferences.

Weeks 1-4

Phase 1: Gaining Clarity and Increasing Motivation

If you’re struggling to overcome an addiction, it’s probably NOT because you don’t know how to stop. More often, it’s due to mixed feelings about the issue. Some days, it feels overwhelming; other days, it seems manageable. Your motivation can fluctuate, and with friends or family urging you to change, it’s easy to feel confused and lost.

That’s why the first four weeks of our program are dedicated to gaining clarity. We'll assess the severity of addictive behaviors you're battling.  In addition to that we'll be exploring your core values, strengths, and motivations. This process will help you define what you truly want and why it matters to you.

Why Focus on Clarity?

Addictions often begin as coping mechanisms. They might help alleviate anxiety, enhance social interactions, provide temporary relief, or boost energy during long workdays. Initially, these behaviors or substances serve a purpose. However, as they become more central to your life, they can overshadow relationships, self-esteem, and personal goals. You may wake up one day feeling disconnected from who you truly are. My goal is to help you reconnect with your authentic self.

How We Achieve This

During these first four weeks, you’ll engage in a structured approach that includes:

  1. Weekly Coaching Sessions: We will meet individually (in person or via Zoom) to discuss your feelings, progress, and insights. Each session is a safe space for you to express yourself and explore your journey.

  2. Online Video Lessons and Journaling Assignments: These resources will guide you through reflective exercises to deepen your understanding of your strengths and motivations.

  3. Comprehensive Assessments: You’ll complete several assessments to help identify your strengths, clarify your goals, and uncover potential roadblocks:

    • Addiction Severity Index (ASI): This assessment provides a thorough overview of your situation by examining seven key areas:

      • Medical
      • Work/Financial Stress
      • Substance Use
      • Motivation for Change
      • Legal Stressors
      • Family/Social Supports and Stressors
      • Mental Health
    • Enneagram Personality Assessment: This tool helps you understand your personality type and its influence on your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By identifying your core motivations and fears, you’ll gain valuable insights into your unique way of relating to the world and can harness this understanding to support your recovery.

    • Strengths Finder: This assessment identifies your natural strengths and talents. Understanding your strengths allows you to leverage them in your recovery process, empowering you to focus on what you do best and how you can use those qualities to navigate challenges effectively.

Weeks 4-8

Phase 2: Building New Habits and Overcoming Obstacles

The road to recovery isn't always a straight path; it’s a dynamic journey filled with twists, turns, and opportunities for growth. In the next four weeks of our program, we’ll focus on building new habits and routines that will support your recovery, while also addressing the obstacles that may arise along the way.

Ironing Out the Kinks

As you start to implement new strategies and coping skills, you might encounter difficulties. Together, we will navigate these challenges head-on, helping you to overcome roadblocks that could disrupt your progress. Here’s what we’ll focus on during this essential phase of your journey:

  1. Rebuilding Trust: Whether it’s with yourself, your loved ones, or your community, trust is vital for recovery. We’ll explore ways to rebuild this trust, fostering stronger connections with those who matter most.

  2. Relapse Prevention: Understanding the warning signs of potential relapse is crucial. We’ll work together to develop personalized prevention strategies, ensuring you have the tools to stay on course even when faced with temptation.

  3. Solidifying New Coping Skills: You’ll refine the coping strategies you’ve started to develop, practicing and reinforcing these skills until they become second nature. This will equip you to handle stressors and triggers effectively.

  4. Navigating Social Situations: Socializing can be challenging during recovery. We’ll discuss how to manage social events, including how much to share about your journey and how to create supportive environments for yourself.

Engage in Your Transformation

This four-week period is your opportunity to embrace change and deepen your commitment to recovery. Together, we’ll celebrate your successes, tackle any challenges, and create a solid foundation for your new way of living. You’ll leave this phase feeling more empowered, resilient, and prepared to navigate life’s complexities with confidence.

Are you ready to tackle the challenges of recovery and build a brighter future? Let’s move forward together and turn obstacles into stepping stones on your journey to success!

Weeks 9-12

Phase 3: Gaining Momentum and Discovering Your Authentic Self

As you enter the Gaining Momentum phase, this is where the transformative journey of recovery truly begins to take shape. You will notice significant changes not just in your routines but in how you view yourself and engage with the world around you. This phase is all about rediscovering your interests, managing emotions, and embracing your new identity.

Key Components

  1. Exploration of Interests:

    • Identifying Likes and Dislikes: As you navigate this phase, you’ll take the time to explore what activities and experiences resonate with you. This process helps you reconnect with hobbies, interests, and passions that may have been overshadowed by addiction.
    • Trying New Things: You’ll be encouraged to step outside your comfort zone and experiment with new experiences, allowing you to discover what brings you joy and fulfillment.
  2. Understanding Emotions:

    • Emotional Awareness: Learn to recognize and deal with difficult emotions such as resentment, disappointment, and jealousy, anger, sadness, etc... Understanding these feelings is crucial for managing them effectively.
    • Coping Strategies: We’ll work on developing strategies to cope with challenging emotions, transforming them into tools for growth rather than obstacles in your path.
  3. Finding Excitement and Joy:

    • Cultivating Joy: Create rituals or practices that invite joy and excitement back into your life. This might include pursuing activities that uplift you, spending time with supportive people, or finding new outlets for creativity.
  4. Navigating Relationship Changes:

    • Reevaluating Connections: Reflect on how your relationships may change as you heal. Some connections might deepen, while others may shift or fade. We’ll explore how to navigate these changes with grace and understanding.
    • Communicating Needs: Develop skills to communicate your feelings and boundaries in relationships, fostering healthier connections with those around you.

  5. Celebrating Progress:

    • Acknowledgment of Change: Regularly reflect on your growth and the positive changes you’ve made. Celebrate small wins and milestones that signify your journey towards rediscovering joy and authenticity.
    • Building a Supportive Community: Engage with others who are on similar journeys, creating a network of support and shared experiences.
  6. Embracing Your New Path:

    • Creating Your Future: Actively envision and articulate your goals for the future, grounded in your new interests and values. This reflection helps you to cement your evolving identity within the context of your recovery.

Experience the Transformation

The Discovering Your Authentic Self phase is about getting comfortable with the new you—emotionally, socially, and spiritually. As you learn to manage difficult emotions, rediscover what brings you joy, and navigate changes in your relationships, you’ll find yourself feeling more empowered and connected to your true self.

Let this phase be a celebration of growth and excitement! Are you ready to embrace the journey of self-discovery and reclaim your joy? Together, we'll explore the vibrant life that awaits you on the other side of recovery!

Client Review

"Initially, I chose this program because I felt it would better fit than group therapy. I’m so glad I did. Amber wasn’t pushy like a lot of other addiction professionals. Full lifetime access to the “RecoverU” online course:

RecoverU will help you take everything you learned from your Enneagram Assessment and apply it to your recovery process.

*Loved ones are also allowed particpate in RecoverU, if you'd like. They'll be able to identify their Enneagram personality type as well. This will allow you to talk much more openly about your needs, wants, fears, and desires for the future.

"I feel so comfortable telling Amber stuff I would normally just keep inside, and I feel her confidence kind of expand in me when I do speak honestly. She knows how to ask the right question at the right time. I have nothing to hide, and for as long as I can remember, no one would ask me questions like that for fear of the truth. It would freak them out,"
